New York Police Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver Who Killed Biker

New York State Police are conducting a manhunt for a suspected hit-and-run driver who they believe struck and killed a motorcyclist in Yonkers. According to police, the missing driver killed a 27-year-old barber.

One of the barber’s regular customers said, “I was shocked, you know. It was heartbreaking to me.” The barber’s station at the Yonkers barbershop where he worked is currently empty, and police have yet to identify the person who killed him. For the owner of the shop, who hired the young man a decade ago, the reality of his loss has yet to set in.

The unfortunate accident happened in late April close to Exit 8 along the Taconic State Parkway. A vehicle pushed the man’s bike into a median. According to a witness, a driver operating a late model sedan caused the accident. The witness said that the driver of the vehicle was taunting the man, trying to get him to either race him or crash his bike. Police believe that the at-fault driver intentionally drove the young man into the median; however, the car left the scene of the accident. It’s not been over a month since the fatal event, and investigators have yet to locate the hit-and-run driver.

As customers and coworkers continue to lament the loss of their barber and friend, police are frantically searching for the vicious hit-and-run driver who may have intentionally killed this man.

This case is an example of why it’s so important for police to act swiftly and effectively any time a hit-and-run accident happens. It’s essential to identify an at-fault driver after a fatal or injurious crash so that the driver may be held criminally and civilly liable for the crimes and damages he or she caused.
